Wow what a good night i had, came 3rd and won £15 to spend at Runik games. :D :D :D :D
About 12 people played using manly warmachine, i think myself and two guys from Tanelorn wargames club http://www.tanelornwgc.org/ were using hordes, with the pairings done we sat down to start the first game.
Game 1 vs Warmachine (didn't know the faction)
Speaking to the guy before the game it seems that both of us were novice's at the game. My Prye troll was on the flank and got a crit on this warjack setting it on fire! After some exchanged blows in the center i got my axer to charge his warcaster and got the kill, so a win to me.
Game 2 Vs Circle (Hordes)Could not get richard to come out of the wood so i could spear him. His warpwolf killed of my prye and then went back in to the woods.
But with some luck i got a crit with the spear to know down his warlock and then used rock fall to finished her off. so win number 2 for me.
Game 3 Vs Skorne (Hordes)
Scaple ahd come up from london to play in this toureny and he know his and mine army very well, after he gave me some slack for being green things started to get tough. A crit on my impaler knocked down two of his body guards for his warlock, as the rest of my army was being pounded i stepped up with my warlock to try and force the win. Scaple stood up the knocked down guys and with some good combo's, dispatched my warlock. So my first lose, but it was the last game so i hoped i was in the top three.
I had a great time, many thanks to tim and the guys that ran the event, ended comming away with the warmachine rule book and the hordes evo as my prize. :D :D
